A reminder of the Spacesailer 27 Annual Presentation Dinner. This is a social occasion for all SS27 people to meet up regardless of how you use your yacht.

During the dinner, the successful competitors will be acknowledged and trophies handed out. Our generous sponsor will be there so it is important that we make an effort to participate and at the same time enjoy ourselves with the company of others. There will be a guest speaker in Sabrina Hahn, who is a most engaging personality and is widely known through her radio programs.

The menu for the night is finalised and there is a choice between two main courses which you have to make beforehand. Attached is the form that should be used for each (boat) group and then forwarded back to me for compilation. Both desserts will be served 50/50 to each table for you to sort out who will have which. Time is getting very close, so get onto it now to avoid last minute changes for the organisers.

Details: South of Perth Yacht Club, Fri, 18 Apr, 1900 for 1930 at $40 each.

During the evening, the sponsor's Perth Timber Floor spinnaker will be awarded to a lucky recipient for one year.

Regards, Brian Saleeba

Inland Cruise

Have you been feeling like I have that the winter break this year seems to be longer and that we have all gone into hibernation? Not so for those who went on the annual Inland Cruise over the weekend of the 11th and 12th June. You may recall it was the weekend when the weather was so foul that the Frostbite was cancelled. This did not concern the 25 that cruised down to Dunsborough for a most enjoyable weekend together. I recall at many Association meetings the amount of deliberations that took place in determining which weekend would be most suitable. Well they certainly got it right.

The Inland Cruise this year was as close as you could get to the sea at Whalers Cove, Dunsborough. With excellent accommodation, log fires, good company and fine wines the wet a cold weather made it even better. Oops I didn’t mention the food. The group had dinner on the Saturday night at a restaurant named Artezen and naturally lunch on the Sunday at Amberley Estate. As it was felt that they ought to support the Company that supports the Club.
